Anchor In/Out

Anchor In -- Although many people aren't aware of it, Eastview High School has an activity making impressive national achievements this year.  Here's Jake with information on the EVHS Marching Band.

Anchor Out --  Thanks, Jake!  It's amazing to see all of these students doing so well, working so hard, and making Eastview even greater.

10/11/11

1)  Start with an establishing shot.  This sets the scene in a sequence.
Find unusual angles that make the shot more enjoyable and interesting.

2)  Establishing shots don't necessarily need to be wide shots.  A very tight shot can be just as effective, like being zoomed in on a scalpel with light glinting off it.
Lean in and out rather than zoom in and out.  This is much more effective because as the camera zooms, any motion is made more apparrent.  If you just lean in and out, though, the shot is better.

Steve Jobs

It's hard to believe that Steve Jobs has died.  He has been one of the most revolutionary people in the world when it comes to new technology.  He basically reinvented the computer, created one of the most popular pieces of technology, the iPod, and designed the iPhone.  He's been fighting pancreatic cancer for quite some time now and has had a liver transplant.  Yesterday, Steve Jobs died, just a couple of short months after his resignation from Apple.  It's hard to imagine a world without his inventions, and I can't help wondering what won't get invented because he's not here.
